Production Associate

  • Understands and applies all Company safety and quality regulations and standards associated with the production and distribution of airbag components.
  • Perform repetitive duties both manual and automated to assemble airbag components.
  • Must be able to perform all rotation workstations within the production cells at a required production rate.
  • Must be able to understand and follow standardized sequencing in order to build quality parts.
  •  Must complete daily inspection logs, production boards, downtime reports, quality reports, etc. as required for production reporting.
  • Ability to inspect component parts to ensure modules are within prescribed specifications and in proper working condition prior to distribution to customers.
  • Ability to package completed airbag components in shipping containers for distribution to customers.
  • Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to stand for the entire work shift and must be able to lift up to 8 lbs. repetitively, 30 lbs. occasionally and 50 lbs. rarely. 
  • Must be able to clean work area and ensure production equipment is in proper working conditions through TPM and 5S activities.
  • Participate in the training and development of other Production Associates to enhance the skill level of operational line members. 
  • Must work with other team members to develop and implement continuous improvement ideas for the area.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to adapt to a changing environment and accomplish additional tasks as they are identified.
